es ist wieder laut (it will be loud again), 1995
Audio installation, Courtyard Stadtgalerie Saarbrücken. Curated by Bernd Schulz and Angela Rosenthal.
Simultaneous with es muss frühling sein, Chiarenza & Hauser also realized an audio work. In the inner courtyard of the Stadtgalerie a woman’s voice whispers: “How much does a coffee, a director, an idea cost? How expensive is advice, a border, purity? What is a thought, a homeless person, an artwork worth?“. The audio sequences are activated by motion sensors and played over two loudspeakers; the succession of the questions is arbitrary.
