canard à l’orange, 2000
Installation in: transfert, Swiss Sculpture Exhibition SPA, Biel-Bienne. Curated by Marc-Olivier Wahler.
RELAX developed an apparatus to take over the tiring hand movements of someone feeding ducks while out for a walk. canard à l’orange at the same time makes for a healthy water bird population, because these are fresh, special balls of baker’s bread that the fully automated device casts in a high arc into the water. The object is a catapult, balls of bread. Programmed to throw five bread balls regularly.
