the mittlere linie der unzufriedenheit (the middle line of discontent), 2008

The installation consists of two horizontal red lines painted on the wall. The lines begin with the words: die klare linie“ (the clear line) and „die mittlere linie der unzufriedenheit“ (the middle line of discontent).
„the clear line“ is 10 cm high, its lower edge is placed at the height of 150 cm from the bottom of the wall, the average height for hanging art works. „the middle line of discontent“ is 3 cm high, its lower edge is placed at the height of 162 cm from the bottom of the wall.
Some dust bunnies - collected since some months before the opening of the show - are placed on the floor of the exhibition space.
